He needs to make his way to Ushuaia, Argentina. This is where most of the tourist ships depart from. There he can book passage on any ship with space available, perhaps at a discount. I haven’t tried this but know others that have. If he’s got some serious moxie he may be able to talk his way on to a private yacht, or maybe get a job on a tourist ship. I have no idea how difficult or easy any of this is, just depends on him being in the right place at the right time.
