Don’t give up hope. 45 years old would put you just over the average age down here. Plenty of people into their sixties find jobs. And yes there is a barber in the summer, although it’s more of a hairdresser. Unisex barber/hairdresser. The winter hairdresser doubles part time as a housing person. Janitor, or maybe in the laundry room.
This year they were without a hair cutter for a couple of months. You might as well apply and see what happens.
