After an unpleasantly long process I’ve finally accepted a vehicle operator job for ATO starting in October. I’ve been trolling this board forever so I thought I would give some thanks to everybody for the information
I once went to a college where the janitors were called “CET’s” short for College Environmental Technicians.
Thanks for the congratulations. The only downside I see is that it’s only a 6 month gig and ATO disappears in the winter so there’s no chance of getting it extended.
Congrats
Don’t fret the short season too much. You are in a wideranging department. It covers both ATO and Supply under the same management chain. You’ll have a lot of experience around the airfields and contact with the people who hire the cargo handler. If you don’t move on, I don’t know that I’ve ever heard anyone complain about being a shuttle driver. You drive some pretty awesome vehicles that will make your friends jealous.
