Hi. About a year and a half ago I started writing a thriller novel set in Antarctica. At that time, I used this board, which used to be “theice” discussion board, to help in my research. A lot of people were helpful at that time.

Anyway, I’m done now and I’d like to tell people about it. If you’re passionate about Antarctica like I am, then you will love it. It is a full length (400+ pages) major novel set in McMurdo and other places. And how often is a McMurdo Dining Assistant a major character in anything? My agent in NYC is shopping it around to publishers but I’d like to try to get some early feedback from people who really know the place. If you’re interested, you can find it at http://www.cafepress.com/JohnCBrewer. The title is “The Green Hajj” and the cover is a false-color image of the continent plotted in ice-speed. The other novel you’ll see there is my first and is set in North Korea and deals with nuclear proliferation. Both are great reads, or so I’m told.
