Can non US citizen work in Antarctica?

    Hello everyone I am the new “kid”. My question is how a non US citizen can work in Antarctica. I don’t care where I want to work in one of the stations. Of Corse I will prefer working in Mcmurdo or the South Pole station but I want to work there anywhere. I just got back from a boat trip to the peninsula and I feel I must go back.

    For the most part the contractor has to hire US citizens to fill the positions available. Where are you from? You might want to consider your own countries Antarctic program first, if they have one. In certain limited cases, when the contractor can not fill critical positions they are allowed to hire non-US but it is limited.
