How “tough” is the dental exam? What sorts of things could disqualify someone, and are they “fixable”?
The Dental exam probably won’t disqualify you unless you have horrible problems. As you might imagine, having a toothache on the ice can be a real problem so they pretty much require that everything is taken care of before you go down. The real problem with dental exams is waiting too long to get them done. Often times the medical staff will look at your x-rays and require a tooth to be pulled or a deep cleaning, cavities, etc. If you wait too long for the initial exam you might not have enough time to get all the work done before deploying.
