to everyone deploying, new people and forgetful people: the Ice is DRY. I wanted more hand lotion when I was there, and there isnt much of a choice in the store. Bring good hand lotion for your dry hands, and good face moisturizer for face. I am typing this to remind myself. I am getting obsessed with returning!

What is your job going to be on the ice? Going down at Winfly, Mainbody, or Winter? I’ll be returning after a three-year absence. As much as it’s probably changed, I’m sure it’s still the same.

Nice to meet you. I now remember seeing your webpage, from a link on Zondra’s website. You’ve traveled a bit, haven’t you? Hope the skies are finally clearing some in Fairbanks. You all have had a wild summer, full of heat, and fire. Probably be one cold-ass winter coming up.
I spent three 6-month seasons down in Denali. Went up to Fairbanks every weekend, though. I do enjoy shopping at Fred Meyer, and Gulliver’s.

atlasAmy can’t say it enough. You will never find a dryer place than McMurdo. As I read her note it occured to me that you might want to consider sending down a humidifier. There are tons floating around McM, but as with all skua items you may not get one.
I’ve got one tucked away, but I still remember trying to sleep with a wet washcloth over my face trying to stop my nose from drying out.

mikethats right Mike, there are a few humidifiers floating around Mactown. I almost Skua’ed me one last season, but a friend gave it to another friend! D’oh! Or you can make friends with someone in Crary Lab, those people have the best humidified skin! I saw my roommate once, bending over the sink in the bathroom, letting her face soak in some moisture with a washcloth.
