Hi Mike, tried sending the attached photo to poolemi@mcmurdo.gov but it bounced so we’ll try through your chat page.  Or you can get me direct at danieljwade@hotmail.com. Hope all is well, the “walk to Scott’s Hut” looks cold.  Have you seen aurora yet?  Your webpage is looking great, keep in touch. Dan

Hi Dan and Ivy. It’s sunday and I’ve just been to sunday brunch. Fresh waffles and whipped cream, huevos rancheros, and smoked salmon. I eat better here than I ever ate at home.
Tomorrow is our last day of sunshine. We still get plenty of twilight so it isn’t pitch black yet. Today is the polar plunge, The kiwi’s at Scott base have cut a hole in the ice and anyone who wants to jump in can. They are running shuttles from here all afternoon. When it was 5 above zero I thought maybe I might do it , but it is around -30 right now. I took off my jacket to see how it felt and guess what? It’s really cold. The jacket went back on and I’ll leave the polar plunge to the fools.

Hi Mike, attached is a pic from the ham shack, post it on your webpage with some more info on the ham radio broadcasts (times and general info) and maybe find some listeners.  McMurdo is of course in the news because of the medivacs. Sounds like some people from McMurdo as well as the Pole Doc are leaving, if conditions allow.  I heard that one of my firefighters had some kind of accident and will medivac but don’t know much more than that.  Any info?
Pictures from the polar plunge would be ammusing, or did you stay in and stay warm?
    Take care, stay safe. Dan
