just happened across this site. fomer vxe-6ʹer and still love every memory of the ice and my many visitʹs to the pole. even reenlisted there back in 98. itʹs still weird looking at all the pictures of the dome station being torn apart. but, i am glad to see that the new station is comming along well. itʹs nice to see the fruits of my (and my squadrons) labor is comming to bear nicely. still remember and miss the awsome cookies the galley cooked up, as it was always a highlight of every flight down there.greatest time of my life was on the ice and i am looking forward to retiring from the navy and getting my butt back down thereǃ canʹt wait to see the new stationǃkeep up the great forumǃǃǃǃǃ
