In most cases this isn’t a problem:
All of the usernames from the old board have been imported to this board. If you wish to re-claim your previous username simply visit the login page and click I’ve forgotten my password. Follow the instructions and you should be able to log in with your old username again shortly. If your privacy settings at the MSN site were set to hide your email address or if you were registered with an email address that you no longer have access to the the “forgotten password” method won’t work for you. If you can get one of the admins or moderators to vouch for you, your current email can be added to your username so that you can reclaim it – or you can always just register a new username.
If, however, you’re one of the few people whose email address didn’t get transfered OR you can no longer access the email account that was used there then you will need to get one of the administrators or moderators to vouch for you. here’s a list of those folks. since we seem to be a pretty small community if you know one of these people well enough to have them vouch for you the assumption is that you either have a way to contact them off-board or better yet, you work with them on The Ice – just have ’em add your email address to your profile (they can do this if they are an administrator) or they can PM myself or one of the other administrators to add the information to your profile so that you can reset your password.
