    I’m sure most people have noticed this already…it’s been in the news on-and-off for months. All their recent statements, though, have focused on specifically the fact that its a military group making the traverse.

    While not a permanent party, it doesnt violate the treaty but I can see it as being a percursor for Indias notion to drill in antarctica looking for the source of their holy river, (as they’ve mentioned over the past 6 months or so).

    Hadn’t seen that. IMO, just another group skiing to the pole. Might as well flag a route. Oh wait, there already is one.

    “..skiing over a distance of about 200 km…” I wonder where they’re starting from? It sure ain’t the coast.

    This must be the year for military groups heading to Pole…we’ve also got the RAF and the Royal Navy.
