    Hello from Alaska . Well spring has sprung and snow is going away. And was just wondering how it was going down ther for all of you on the ice. Still trying to get on with raytheon e-mailed resume and they replied so have my fingers crossed wish me luck. If there is anything you folks need just give me a shout your friend in Alaska.                                      Sourdough..

    Thanks for the message and the photos. I live in the State of Ohio and
    barely even know what goes on in the Antartic. I learned about this site a
    short time ago from an email and I'm glad I joined.

    Liz and Sourdough
    things are peachy down here. Winter is setting in with a bang. Oddly enough the temps have gone way up, most days between zero and 10 above. Along with the warm weather though, have been storm after storm. Today for the first time in weeks we were able to see the stars and even an aurora this morning. It didn’t last long as another storm blew in a couple of hours ago. It sounds like the wind is blowing pretty hard. A couple of times the winds have been near 100mph just outside of Mcmurdo. We are lucky in that we sit behind a ridge that protects us from the worst. Hope you get  to experience it some day.
    By the way Chris post left a posting on the other board. You can see his picture in the site on the mike and clark adventure trips last august.
