KeymasterHi Mike,
Assuming all goes according to plan, I’ll see you and Lori at mainbody. Glad to hear you’ll be there — I thought you’d be roaming around the world this year.
🙂
I expect I’ll be staying at either the Windsor or YMCA. Maybe Lori will be there too?
Cheers,
Glenn

KeymasterHey, It will be great to see you again. It’s been a long time. We are staying the year, how about you? And yes I imagine lorie will be in the windsor.
When are you due in?

KeymasterI should arrive on Ice about Oct 9th, if the weather cooperates. Of course, a few extra days in Chch would be okay too…
😉This time I’ll just be there for the summer.

KeymasterGreat it will be good to spend some time with you again. It looks like you’ll be on lories flight so we’ll pray for some bad weather for you.

MemberI’m on the flight on the 9th, as well…. looking foreward to meeting everyone

KeymasterZondra, If I reading things right, it looks like you are scheduled to be in the heavy shop supply area. That’s sort of my old stomping grounds. I’m doing food service this year for the first time. If you need any help with the Mapcon heavy shop stuff, look me up and I’ll give you some the shortcuts I’ve learned over the years. Glenn, I’m already looking forward to a sushi party or two, if you still do such things.

KeymasterI am on the 9th too. C-141 party plane!

KeymasterI get to sleep on the cargo pallet! (I think that’s the equivalent of shouting “shotgun!” when you get in a car.)

KeymasterHey everyone…new to the group.
Â
My wife and I (Amanda and Evan) are deploying to McMurdo on Oct. 4th. Tentative flight to McMurdo is the 8th….hope to see you all there. We’re both dining attendants so you’ll probably see us around.

MemberEvan and Amanda,
Â
Hey, what’s up? I’m a DA here at McMurdo right now. I came in on the last WINFLY flight on August 26. I’ll be here until the end of summer. Looking forward to meeting you. We have a great crew in the galley. You are going to have a blast!! Are you two first timers? Let me know if you have any last minute questions about the galley or just in general.

MemberMike, thanks for the Mapcon help – I’ll probably be taking you up on that. Right now I have to figure out how do all this darn packing (one of my weakest traits), and get ready to leave in a week. Amy, will you come help me again?
Â
Darn it Glenn, I was going to call Cargo Pallet…Â it sucks though, ’cause they put the girls in the front of the plane, and the pallets are in the back… I gotta find a way around that darn hang up.

See everyone soon! – – – ZondraSeptember 29, 2004 at 7:15 am #2179thepooles98
Keymastermarsha, don’t be nervous about a thing. We’ll all be watching out for you. Stacia, your boss is a sweetheart. So far they’ve accomplished all the room moves prior to mainbody with nobody complaining. That has to be a first. Nothing like starting out on good foot.

MemberMike…did I see the words “No Complaining” that is a first! have a great
season. By the way, what position did you fill this year?Rick

KeymasterThanks, Scott. We do have a couple questions….
Â
First, I thought I saw somewhere we should bring a baseball hat…or something of the sort….for working in the kitchen. Do you agree?
Â
Also, do the dorm rooms have clocks and/or alarms? I would assume not, but if I could avoid bringing one it just lightens the load.
Â
Any other tips or suggestions would be great….
Â
Can’t wait to get down there…see you soon! -
