O.K. folks, we really need to replace the logo up there.
Bahls, I know you have skills….or if anyone else wants to submit something, submit by attaching to this thread.
for simplicity sake, it should probably be the same size, however, I can make adjustments to the code to make one of a different size work.
You have until I get sick of looking at the default logo to submit your design.

Virtually everything in the NASA approved folder came in a distant second to “Colbert.” Be careful what you wish for… 😉

Have you actually, uh, tried to insert a different logo image into the header?
I ask this because my version/style/theme of phpBB insisted on shrinking the image to the same size as the phpBB logo. I could have modified the php code to allow a different size but that was ‘beyond the scope’ of my energy. Perhaps this version of the software will be more accommodating.

I’m just throwing up ideas. The one that has gotten a postive comment was done with the idea of the iceberg sized the same as the old logo, and the backround image a piece of repeating horizon set to tile.
If you like any of my stuff or have other stuff I’ll happily resize/convert… whatever.-Pete

thanks for your efforts.As you can tell I got sick of the default and just went for the one that was a drop in replacement so I don’t have to dive into any code – not that I can’t, just that life has put so many other demands on me right now that I’m not going to. I like the icebergy one and the lights one too..I might have to, at some point, see if there exists some sort of logo randomizer plugin – or I could write a quick and dirty php function to do it…but not anytime in the near future.
Perhaps after the next port call here I’ll create a poll in this thread and allow the members to vote for their favorite – if there are any more submissions, get ’em in..doc…I’m looking at you!

I stole this one. Its Erebus at Winfly.
You would need to ask before you used it, but its a great picture.
