KeymasterHere are a few pictures of the Antarctic sun over the Royal Society Mountain
Range and Mt. Discovery, these were all taken from my dorm room window..
what a view huh?The pic of me was taken this past weekend, at fire training.
We had a big storm yesterday, some of our members got stranded at the
airport for 8 hours with little food till the storm died down.. for those of
you on this list whom have been here, it was Condition 1 at the Ice Runway
for 8 hours, downgraded to Condition 2 and then they came back to town in
our tracked firetrucks!Chris

MemberMaybe you all are not the one’s to ask, but I am completely confused, basically a normal thing for me anyway. Where are the pictures that are supposed to be with the messages? i.e. Chris said “here are a few pictures…”. No pictures!? I was real excited about finding this site and the info and pictures are great. I had applied for a job there about 8 years ago when I thought I was going to be layed off from Lockheed Martin, but thank goodness they decided to keep me since I never got an answer from there.
Again, thanks for the web site, I am sure I will really enjoy it when I learn how to work it.

KeymasterSue,
Chris’s letters home get posted here on the message board. Unfortunately the pics and attachments don’t automatically post. At some point he may put them here but like most everyone at mcmurdo his time is limited. One of these days we’ll get some more up. I’m currently off the ice in New Zealand and heading for Australia next week. I won’t be back until the end of January and at that time I’ll try to get some more photos on the site.
