The Plato Observatory, on Dome Argus, 13,000 feet high and about 700 miles east of the South Pole…..

Huh. I was just in that same area (+/- a couple hundred miles) a few weeks ago installing a seismometer for the AGAP project.

Ice. Plateau. Sastrugi. Yup, that’s what it looked like.
