Polie this year

Hey guys! Just signed up to the group, although I’ve been lurking for about a month.

Just thought I’d let my friends know that I am heading back to the Ice this summer, but this year I am going to be a Polie! I’ve been hired as Work Order Scheduler for the Pole. Pretty exciting! Hope to see my friends as I pass through McMurdo.

Sorry. I didn’t mean to be a traitor. It was just my best option for a better paying job. And it was the only way I thought I would ever get to the Pole. My crystal ball wasn’t showing me any Pole boondoggles or Pole short-term working trips in my future.

I’ll definitely miss all my McMurdo friends! That is the biggest bummer about going to the Pole.

Mike, I’ll definitely look you up when I zip through McMurdo! Currently I am scheduled to arrive October 19 and leave October 22 – I believe.
