Hello Mike:
Saw the photo of the power plant with the snow coming inside beside diesel number one. Looks like nothing has changed since I was there all those many years ago. We had lots of snow coming threw every crack in the building. It sometimes looked like I was out side in the 100 or 150 knot winds. Had snow everywhere. And it felt like I was outside in the cold. Hard to keep the diesel warm and the floor clear of snow when it froze to the concrete right away and the radiators would start to freeze up. Luckily we found a good way of running them in reverse which helped keep the plant warmer and the ice and snow from building up on the floor. But then just another day in the life of McMurdo. Hope all is going well with you both. Keep up the interesting Antarctic memories. Reminds me of when I was there.
