    I’m sure some of you remember him, I was working with him in the 1980s. A rather visible and influential NSF representative.

    He passed away last November, I learned of it just before leaving Pole, but since that was a rather hectic time, it slipped my mind until his obituary got posted this week.http://www.legacy.com/WashingtonPost/DeathNotices.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonId=130036972.

    Ronald La Count was my father who passed away in November of 2008. He loved working in Antarctica and the people who worked there. If anyone would care to relate any stories about his time there, my family and I would greatly appreciate it.
