Well I am sitting here at the travel center in Christchurch, just got done with orientation and safety training. But we may not be able to fly down as planned tomorrow, due to mechanical difficulties with the plane, but of course we won’t know for sure until tomorrow am. I am ready to head down, but an extra day in New Zealand would be nice, a day to relax and explore further, and still get paid for the day.
Lorie and I are also sitting in cheech. Its been a nice few days, but we got the word today that we got a 2month contract job at Port Hueneme Ca. to help with receiving. We are leaving tomorrow for LA to get things wrapped up. Been doing the PQ thing. X-rays, jabs with needles, the bendover test. One cavity with the dental, but hopefully all is well and I’m done. The doctors recap is tomorrow morning and we’ll be at the airport at 12 noon.
See you all in January.
You’re going to PTH? Wow. What dates are you going to be there? Can I use you as resource? I really would like to know what goes on there – it’s one of those great mysteries to me, and I have to deal with PTH daily. I’d just like to hear what it’s like there, and what you’re doing. PLEASE report back. It’s good to have a friend on the inside. Email me at my USAP address (I don’t think I have your address, I just know I can find you here).
Keep in touch, I want to hear what thit PTH stuff is all about!
Lorie is sitting next to me and says YUP we may be contacting you on a regular basis. We heard the last day in Cheech and are due to start on the first of Nov, but haven’t got the offer letters yet.
Glenn we are contracted for next winter again, but will be coming off at winfly for six weeks and going back in October for the following summer. After that summer rotations for a while.
