snow cat history

    im interested in the history of the use of the snow cats out there. in particular,the thiokol 4t series trackmasters. is there anyone there that might have info to what vehicles have been there over the years? back to the 1960’s if possible. any pics and info would be great.

    The snow cats are made my Tucker. The morton thiokol machines were the sprytes. At least going back to the early 90″s

    Speaking of 8 below- I saw it on tv the other night. There was a half second or so shot of the outside of the medical clinic that looked pretty realistic. Was that the actual clinic or did they reconstruct it?
    If they went through that much trouble to reconstruct the outside, they did a horrible job on the inside, which looked like a modern day hospital.

    i know about the tuckers. im searching for info on the thiokols. the trackmaster models were made in the 1960’s. im in the process of rebuilding one that belonged to the USAF, and was hoping to chat with those that might have had them in use out there.

    I think we had 1200’s and 1400’s if that helps at all. I might be able to find a mechanic still who worked on them.
