snow sprytes leaving?

i see that all of the thiokol sprytes are going to be phased out this year. does anyone have any info on where they will be going to, if they are becoming surplus, and how many there might be? im interested in being able to acquire some of them, and the other snow cats as they are phased out.

I didn’t reply to the email as I don’t know who you are. This is as good a place as any. The sprytes are long gone from mcmurdo. I’m guessing it’s been almost 5 years now since the last once left here. They were fun machines, if I lived in a snowy area, i would have picked one up myself.

thanks for the info regarding the sprytes leaving. i saw pics of the new cat. they should make a very nice upgrade for you.

The Tucker Sno-cats are workhorse machines.
The sprytes were replaced by Pisten Bullys.  Much more comfortable than the Sprytes, but they don’t handle the cold weather and the rough terrain as much as the old ones.
