I’ve decided, rather late I know, to send my CV once again to Raytheon. I thought it might be a good idea to get some tips from here on how to land that dream job of scrubbing toilets in Antarctica. So I’m sure yall have never heard this one before. How do I get a job in Antarctica? I know I should go to a job fair, unfortunately I live abroad so that is a bit tricky. I feel quite stupid about the whole job fair thing, I used to live in Alaska and was camping with friends when I passed by a town that had a Raytheon job fair. I thought I would run into another one, but I haven’t. Any recruiters here now? Or would someone be so kind as to give me the address to one. So I might send them love letters in hopes of warming their hearts towards my plight. Loren

Loren —  Are you male or female?  Where are you from?  What do you want to do?

Have you visited the RayJobs yet, to see what’s available?

I’m pretty sure all the job fairs are over now.  The biggie is in April.  Most of the hiring is done in May.  However, it never hurts to have your application in, and ready, in the event they need someone as an alternate.

Loren, go to http://www.usap.gov and follow the links for jobs. You need to fill out an application on Rayjobs before anything else. They are already doing the hiring for this upcoming year, chances are you missed it, but then you never know. They hire a thousand persons each year and there is story after story of individuals who go hired at the last minute. Fill out the application and then try your darndest to get your name out front.  As a latecomer you best chances will be as an alternate in case the primary person backs out or doesn’t pass the medical.
